Sun PK
An accomplished songwriter in many styles, including: Country, Dance, Pop, Rock, R&B, Adult Contemporary & Swing, Sun has had many songs under contract, but the elusive hit is yet to happen.
The pursuit of songwriting led to his first package as an artist and with collaborator Bob Victor the Synth Pop/New Age duo 100th Monkey was born in 1993. Though the duo generated a modicum of industry interest it wasn't enough to sustain them and the project just fizzled out.
Not wanting to give up music and returning to his Sunshine roots, in 2000 Sun created his "Neo Sunshine-Pop" solo debut album, "Inquire Within" which was produced by Daniel Wise (Joan Osborne, Rod Stewart, James Taylor, Wu Tang Clan, Maceo Parker, European Grammy winner Marie Frank and many more –

"Inquire Within" was released by Japanese indy label Air Mail Recordings as "It’s A Smiley Face World" in 2001 and has received rave reviews in many publications including Amplifier and Nine Volt Magazines. Two of the songs have received songwriting awards. Both albums are still selling downloads regularly and can be found at CD Baby as well as many other music download sites including iTunes.

Sun's on-air jingle credits are Nick At Nite's famous "Hello Out There From TV Land" campaign, which ran from 1991 through 1997. The 'jewel in the crown' of that campaign "Beautiful Place" received the prestigious silver BPME (now Promax) award in 1992. Other jingle compositions include a number of station ID’s similar to the Nick campaign for TV Land, "Dey All Over De Floor (The Rug Rats)" for Nickelodeon, "Rockin' Our Dreams" for Club Disney and the banner jingle for PlayhouseRadio.com, the now defunct children's internet radio station and music site.
Sun is also a painter of sorts. Upon receiving a BFA from The School of Visual Arts in 1976, Sun declared himself "cured of art." About 18 years later he was inspired to pick up the paintbrush again and for several years expressed his quasi-post-psychedelic vision on canvas, which led to several shows. The paintings can be seen on his website.
From 1985 to 1990 and again in the mid-90's, Sun worked as a drag entertainer. His exploits can be found at what might be the most extensive online archive of downtown NYC club life during those eras on the Internet at sunpk.com.
