The Terry Awards 
This is our fifth annual Terry Awards celebration. This is a readers choice awards ceremony, where you the reader select the person who best fits the category. With that being said, we will be giving away around 50 trophies this year. The announcements and trophy giving will be done on March 19th at Woodstarr Nightclub in Parkersburg, WV at 10PM. Never a cover charge at this event, all our events are totally free to the community. While that part of the ceremony may seem boring to some people, you must remember that each one of these individuals sitting in the audience are probably waiting to see if they have been selected as a winner. So be respectful, it could be you next year who is up for one and our HOSTESS for the evening is none other than Ms Michelle St. James!
Also to keep things entertaining we will be bringing in a world class core of entertainment to go in between every ten trophies giving out. They are:

Ms WV Queer News and Ms WVQN New Face Pageant 
March 20th, 2010 at Woodstarr Night Club - 10PM ALL CONTESTANTS MUST BE THERE BY 8PM, to fill out application, bio sheets, and do not forget to bring your music CD! We are getting ever closer to the highly anticipated and one of the most prestigious pageants in West Virginia's history. While we are still learning and growing each and every year, we are dedicated to developing the most respected, fair GLBT pageant in the tri-state. We have developed real working relationships with all the state's premiere entertainers. We have a real commitment to the ladies and their illusions. We pride ourselves on being community oriented, which is one obvious reason why we have no entry fee for the contestants. We want them to see that we are not seeking a profit, but are more focused on their work and performances as an elite female impersonator. Our judges are non-biased. They have been selected because they are fair and are not persuaded to give anyone an edge on the competition. They do it for the sole purpose of selecting the diva that best entertains the crowd and brings their female illusion to its true and top potential. Always remember as an entertainer that anyone can win. All you have to do is bring your best package, and work it out! You too, can be crowned Miss West Virginia Queer News 2009-2010, and be among the notable entertainers like Robin Hearts, Martina Deserae, and Patricia Knight. With each year's contest you, as a new and upcoming diva, to have the chance to also participate, not only for the coveted title of Ms WV Queer News, but you can battle it out with other entertainers who have been actively entertaining in the drag profession for under three years for the title of Ms West Virginia Queer News, New Face 2009-2010!

Yellow presentation Creative Evening Wear Talent portion 5-8 minutes New Rules After careful consideration, you can only win the title of Ms West Virginia Queer News or Ms West Virginia Queer News, New Face once in your lifetime. To offer a chance to all the entertainers in the state. Another new rule is: You must be at the place of the annual pageant each year two hours before it begins. You will not be allowed to compete if you are not there at least one hour prior to the announced time of the competition. If you would like to be a contestant please get a hold of Terry at wvasqueernews2@aol.com so that he can get you your application and you can have it submitted back, within a week of the pageant date.
