Into the light You're invited (B.Y.O.H.) Bring your own happiness Happiness is horizontal. It is something we carry with us as we tread through the forests of uncertainty in this life. It is not some faraway place and it is not a reward in the next life for having sacrificed in this one. I cannot think of one event in history that can validate that happiness is something that can be bought with money. Our successes and recognition of our accomplishments are short lived. This is not to say that there is not happiness in achieving one's goals. We do experience a form of happiness from our achievements. However, these are just interim moments of contentment. After a short elevation of our confidence and a little inflation of our self esteem, we immediately start looking for the next temporary 'fix' or substitution for the things we lack. Happiness does not materialize by looking into someone else's eyes. In order for this to happen, that person must first see it in your eyes. Happiness must be visible from the outside in order to ignite the spark inside others, and to make a positive difference in another person's life. We achieve happiness by accepting the things we cannot change in life and taking action to change those things we do have control over. I think the world was created to be a place for man to enjoy. It truly is a paradise for those who recognize and respect the privilege of our existence here. If we expect our dreams to bring us happiness and unconditional love, then we must dream of being better people. You are invited to join in the celebration of life. A beautiful abundant banquet will be served by Mother Earth, there will be plenty for everyone. There will be music to dance to, and all your friends will be there. Come join the celebration and make some new friends too. *Special instructions: B.Y.O.H (Bring your own happiness.)
